About Greenbuds Baby

Produced with pesticide-treated cotton or polyurethane foam and coated with fire retardants, conventional bedding and mattresses emit harsh chemicals and toxins attributed to a number of serious health issues. This is what instigated a young mother-to-be from New York, all too concerned about the wellbeing of her unborn child, to dedicate herself to crafting a line of the most comfortable and incredibly safe mattresses and bedding possible. Committed to an all healthy lifestyle and frustrated with the lack of affordable organic mattresses on the market, a conscious expecting mother became determined that she would be the first one out there to find a way to combine organic integrity along with affordability into a mattress. That was how Miriam’s mompreneurship all began.

Now Greenbuds online store is a premium purveyor of a complete line of all natural crib mattresses, as well as organic sheets, mattress pads, and other bedding accessories all made from the purest fibers that nature has to offer. Using bedbug resistant coconut coir, 100% natural non-allergic latex, non-GMO cotton and wool that is pesticide free and naturally flame retardant, Greenbuds ensure that the air your child breathes in is pure and clean as well as guarantee an overall healthier global environment.

Frustrations

Our acquaintance with Miriam took place in 2015, when she was downright discombobulated about what to do with her website that had been totally bungled by developers somewhere from India. Adding items to cart failure, inability to proceed to checkout or open some items, falling apart layout were just a tiny bit of all bugs and malfunctions that we were privileged to inherit from the previous developers. On top of that, for reasons undefined, they overrode Magento Core, which made the online store entirely unusable. All in all, the website, predominantly its backend, was in such a deplorable state that great deal of work we were faced with had little bearing on simple bug fixing; it was all about setting up the store from scratch. It took us 3 weeks alone to slice and dice the website, conduct error analysis and define the scope for the project.

Tight deadlines (we had only 2-3 months for the project execution) coupled with unacceptable condition of the website made the mission impossible. More than that, fiddling with someone else’s code is a lowly craft that is avoided like the plague by the majority of developers. Nonetheless, out team took off coat to the work.

Our Solution

Devastated with her previous experience, pixel-perfect mompreneur was in need of close collaboration and a detailed success roadmap as well as a daily progress report. With this in mind, we went the extra mile to back her up 24/7 as we rushed to deliver customized solutions that would be perfect to her specific needs and expectations. Our developers thrashed out every pixel and every little detail to make sure that no vital parts had been gone or altered in a way allowing potentially hazardous malfunction.

Result

Consequently, Greenbuds website was upgraded to the latest Magento version and received all security enhancements through Magento Security Patches installation. More than that, we were able to establish amazing relationship with Miriam and help her regain faith in proper outsourcing. Our CEO, Max Krukovsky, flew to New York to make Greenbuds website go live together with Miriam sitting shoulder to shoulder at a local Starbucks. After a couple of months of meticulous work over the project, we were all happy to see the ambitious mompreneur taking her first steps in business. Having found the solution in balance between Magento Fixed Price Packages, we continue delivering Magento ultimate technical support to Greenbuds as we have always been walking hand in hand with our clients.
